We had to dig into the company archives to locate our design from 1987. This was originally designed as a grocery bag back then. In light of California not allowing plastic bags in stores — and paper bags being garbage — we wanted to get this back on the market.

This is an extremely heavy duty bag. We are researching lighter weight materials to bring the cost down, but make no mistake: this bag will probably last your lifetime. That's the whole point. One well-made canvas bag replaces hundreds of disposable plastic and paper bags over the years — better for your wallet, better for the planet.
